2 cups + 1/4 cup flour
3/4 cup salt
2 tbs cream of tartar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
3 tbs oil
1 1/2 cup boiling water
In a mixing bowl add 2 cups flour, salt, cream of tartar, cocoa powder and oil. Add the boiling water and mix until well blended. The dough will be very sticky at this point. Place the dough onto a hard surface and knead while adding the rest of the flour until it becomes soft and no longer sticky.
We love using heart shaped candy molds and cookie cutters with our chocolate dough.
This is a great opening act for all those Valentine's crafts that are coming our way as we approach February.
